Malakand
History
The famous Malakand Pass which connects Mardan to Swat and Dir is located near Dargai, where the local Pushtun tribes fought two fierce battles with the British army in 1895 and 1897.
Before 1970 the area was a Tribal Area known as the Malakand Protected Area, part of the Malakand Agency. In 1970 it became Malakand District, a Provincially Administered Tribal Area, until 2000 part of Malakand Division. The district is still sometimes known as Malakand Protected Area or Malakand P.A. now a days malakand face so many problem. The main problem is TALIBAN.TALIBAN who killed the inocent people.pakistani army start war against taliban.Taliban is the serious problem for our mother land.It is not the taliban who are the serious threat to the peaceful land of malakand, its the governemaent of pakistan that either intentionally or unintentionally in the hands of punjab, ignored the other parts of pakistan since its independence, and especially the the pukhtoonkhwa province and some of its parts (PATA & FATA). the Pakistan governament have turned blind eye to these parts of pakistan, the current taliban crises is an eye opener for them, still if they look in the matters serioulsy they can controle the situations easily, by improving the life standereds of the local people, Education will play a pivotal role, and the current operation of PAk Army in the guidance of pentagon is a huge failure, it has ruined the lives of the people of malakand and swat, whoever has formulated this stratagy is a complete failure with no strategic depth and no outcome,it is totally a terminator project, pak army is brutally killing their own innocent people for nothing in return complicating the situations while pentagone doesnt know the situations of the area and dictate their trems, i think malakand is creating yet another great history for itself, but this time the brave pukhtoons are used in the name of islam, while the US and PAK army using their area as a playground for their war games(Aryan Khan,Thana Malakand)
